DESCRIPTION:

As far as “loving what it is to be human”, this is about as basic as it gets. ABC was founded in 2000 by a group of volunteers in response to a survey by the Cape Cod Council of Churches, which identified the “most pressing unmet need” on the Cape and Islands was to help ensure the health and safety of babies under the age of three in low-income-families. So to improve these young citizens’ quality of life, ABC through its staff of 15 volunteers manages to provide simple things—diapers, diaper wipes, ointments, clothing and safe equipment—to nearly 500 clients every 30 days. Good-hearted people in businesses, philanthropic organizations, congregations, and as individuals, support the program with their mainly in-kind donations. You can, too—check-out the ABC website.
